Yup, here's how it started

On a sunny day at the Moscow Farmer's Market

Two old friends got together, trying to catch up f-2-f after so much time has passed,

honoring Linda Pall who helped to create the Farmers' Market that has become such a beautiful gathering spot for the community.

And as we sat here we talked about life, love, and art.  How do we continue to be creative human beings?  How amidst all that is happening in our world do we contribute to our communities with our highest and best effort?  How do we generate the life invigorating energy that can sustain ourselves and those around us?  and Charlotte said, grow a new tale.  What?!!!  What do you mean?!!!  Grow a new tale, she said.  You mean  if life goes badly, go surprisingly in a direction that you never expected, go wonky, go beyond your control, go into orbit, go sour, go . . . then grow a new tale?!  Write it, paint it, sing it, jump into it, or jump out of it!  Grow a new tale?!

Charlotte -you're right!  grow a new tale!  We do this all the time, but i've never thought about it.  It's as though someone else is controlling our lives - we allow ourselves to go along with what may come, not realizing that we can intentionally establish a new order, plot a new path, bend the waves if just a bit, set a new course, plow a new furrow, catch a new beam of light.  We can change, and in fact we have always changed.  We can grow a new tale.

So here we go.  How have I handled change?  How have I rebounded?  How have I re-ordered life?  What new paths have I traveled when life shuts a door?  closed a chapter?  jumped a roadblock?  crossed a crevasse? reached beyond the overhang?  Let's move with new energy, consciously, mindfully and intentionally.

Grow a new tale.
