No one would have guessed . . .

No one would have guessed that Wayne;
  • grew up milking cows everyday
  • was a pole vaulter using a bamboo pole, and a gymnast during his high school years
  • played trombone in high school, and still has his old trombone
  • was a drum major with the U.S. Army band while stationed in Berlin, Germany
  • can tell stories about "blow-job" Annie and what soldiers did on their leave time
  • was a bearded, long-haired hippy (down to his shoulders long-hair) during the 60s and 70s
  • that he danced naked on the Pacific ocean beaches
  • owned a purple colored Persian cat, then a pair of Siamese cats when I first met him
  • that he loved to skinny dip in our farm pond
  • that he does gross party tricks with his eyelids
  • that he and I rode over 7,000 miles on a Triumph (650 Bonneville) throughout Europe
  • was a Teamster and drove truck in San Francisco
  • can whistle Mozart or any other tune beautifully
  • that we have been together since the first day we met almost 43 years ago
  • that on Wayne's 75th birthday, he was the annual 4th of July tennis tourney winner along with his 81-year old buddy Bob beating out all the younger players!
  • TODAY is Wayne's 77th birthday, born July 5, 1935 in Welcome, MN.
  • And you would have guessed that he is the greatest father, husband and friend that anyone could have!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WAYNE!
